teckla is my oldest computer. I received it when I started at NCSSM in August of 1996. It was my only computer until I purchased dragon in September of 1998. It did very little between the fall of 1998 and the summer of 2000. At the beginning of the summer of 2000 I moved out of the dorms and into an appartment with a roommate, and only one net connection. teckla then started to server as the impasq box for our machines and gradually started doing other stuff for me. Between then and the summer of 2002, either teckla or tsalmoth was my ipmasq box. Even when teckla wasn't the ipmasq box, it sometimes remained around as a fileserver, once it got the 30GB harddrive, which later passed on to vallista. In April of 2002, teckla's power supply blew and I ended up creating vallista instead of replacing it. However, I have teckla's original 1.6G harddrive and 24MB of RAM for it laying around in case I ever get another power supply and decide to revive it.
Starting in summer of 2000, teckla was doing the most work out of all my machines, however it was always hidden under my desk. I imagine the teckla of the Dragaeran Empire are much like this.. do all the work, but keep out of sight.
